About the Event
Please join CTS and their five councils at this annual all councils meeting, where they will discuss how refocusing transportation decision making is key to the future of mobility.
Featured speakers Yingling Fan, professor at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and Gregory Shill, professor at the University of Iowa College of Law, will share highlights from their contributions to CTS’s Future of Mobility series:
- In United By Transportation, Fan explores how we can chart the future so that transportation helps to unite rather than divide our communities—and ensure that innovations in transportation enhance the quality of life for all.
- In Transportation Safety in a Second-Best Environment, Shill outlines the need for effective, actionable strategies that can improve transportation safety while sidestepping policy bottlenecks.
Following each presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to engage with our speakers—and each other—through a conversation circle/fishbowl model discussion. How can we better center the human experience in transportation project planning? How can we approach transportation decision making in ways that are more aligned with larger goals around safety, sustainability, and equity? Join CTS for an interactive discussion!
